first-time poster. I've been a fan of the site for a few years and/or url changes now. I'm a white-on-white adoptee from Memphis, TN pursuing my Ph.D. (damn, that sucker runs fast!) in Louisiana. I'm interested in wannabe-ism because small part of my educational background was in cultural anthro, I'm on the fringes of the Pagan community, and my ex-hub was a "3/16th Absaroke" who felt "called by the spirits" (the ones he read about in books) to act silly at home and at pow wows. I'm sorry. I did my best to rein him in, I really did.
Apologies if someone has linked to this before. It all reads alike after awhile, but I find the glimpses into the pysches of culture raptors fascinating. There are notes of sanity here and there, but for the most part it's page after page of rationalization, denial, entitlement, the usual:
