The speakers on Friday include " Lee Brown, Rueben George, Phil Lane Jr, Shane Point, and Rex Wyler.

Of particular importance to Lakota people on this board:

A highlight of Friday afternoon's agenda is this:

OK, Ska asked me to edit the above. It looks like we have a couple, very odd things happening here. Phil Lane is claiming to have Crazy Horse's pipe and bundle.

One of these websites says he did pipe ceremony in a Catholic Church with a random bunch of non-Natives. The other thing is this upcoming gathering where they're advertising he's going to do it again.

Details about the "Interfaith" thing where he brought out a pipe and made these claims have been merged over at: http://www.newagefraud.org/smf/index.php?topic=4631

Hi Yells,

I"m not sure - are you talking about the IILG?  It's not run by White people, it is run by Indians, on Indian land.  They say such good things on their "about us" page that I'm sure many are drawn - but when you see who they have speaking, it is very concerning.

St'at'imc Chiefs

The St’át’imc Chiefs’ Council (SCC) will once again oversee the 7th Annual International Indigenous Leadership Gathering in Xaxl’ip, St’át’imc Territory from June 4th to June 7th, 2015 (at 10,001 Fountain Valley Road, Fountain, B.C., 30 minutes from Lillooet. B.C., Canada).
The St'át'imc Chiefs Council (SCC) consists of political representatives from the 11 communities within the St'át'imc Nation. These communities include Bridge River (Nxwisten), Pavilion (Ts'kw'aylacw), Cayoose Creek (Sekw'el'was), Mt. Currie (Lil'wat), Seton Lake (Chalath), Lillooet (T'it'q'et), Fountain (Xaxl'ip), Anderson Lake (N'quatqua), Douglas (Xa'xtsa), Skatin and Samahquam. Each community representative has a seat at the St'át'imc Chiefs Council table. The St'át'imc Chiefs meet on a monthly basis. The aim is to follow through on the direction received from the people during the Unity meetings which was for the leadership to work together on a political level to address issues in a unified manner. The mandate that the SCC focuses upon is the long outstanding issue of our people's title and rights, along with land and resource concerns. There are several related issues that are also dealt with by the St'át'imc Chiefs Council.

Thanks Yells,

You and I may be the only ones worried about this.  But I'm going to keep documenting here whatever I can find.

It appears the IILG grew out of the ENTHEOS gathering:

There is also a "sun dance" being conducted at this site.  It seems Lee Brown is deeply involved.

"The Sacred Fires have been lit. In August 2008 tobacco was delivered to Chief Arvol Looking Horse (Lakota), 19th Generation Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe, to formalize his invitation. Chief Arvol Looking Horse and many other elders have spoken at the 1st and 2nd IILG and Chief Looking Horse will also be returning to speak on May 30, 2011."

I seems that the present thread is a continuation of earlier discussions here:

One of the posts from the present thread seems to have been moved there:
