This is taking place in Denmark, next door to us, which saddens me even more.
It is bad enough wherever it happens, but the closer it gets to you, the more concerned you get.....
I know emails from Natives have gone out to these people, even from legitimate Sundanceleaders.
However, I am not holding my breath that these people will cancel the event.
I remember when shooting our film in Denmark, we interviewed one of the organisers of faked sweats, asking her what she thought about Native Americans protesting the appropriation. She pulled a face of disgust and then answered: "I know about it, but I am trying hard to keep my ears closed!".
That just about sums it up, I guess.
