Mark "Thunderhawk" Davis

Does anyone have any information on him?  From what I can find he's out of Birmingham, AL and has been interviewed about the Oxford, AL mound and Sam's Club.  I also found some disturbing information about false claims of military service/status and his attacks on the group that uncovered it.  He has publicly stated he is Director, AIM of Alabama but the only reference I can find regarding that are his own claims.  He also claims his wife, Ruth Davis, is a direct descendant of Chief John Ross.....something else I have not been able to verify.

Thanks in advance.

the only thing i could find on him was on the website of the POW group that exposed him ..

http://www.pownetwork.org/phonies/phonies1098.htm

note: Al has this POW group listed in the thread "Fake Veterans, Fake POWs Sources" ..

this info is listed on the POW site:
"Next powwow is Jun 5-7 2009

Oxford Lake Park
Alexandria, Alabama

Mark runs the powwow,

Smitty is the Headman Dancer "

perhpas someone in Alabama can check this info out .. as well as the claim that he is the director of AIM in Alabama? .. ..

Yeah, I found that site.....not very good info about him....I take veteran status very seriously, and anyone claiming to be what they are not comes up under the Stolen Valor Act.  Thanks, I'll keep checking back.  I did find out that the person who contacted me and was throwing their friendship with him as some kind of validation is nothing but a nuager who stops just shy of violating the IACA by avoiding the statement of her crafts being Native made.  When I questioned her as to where she got her blood from she got VERY defensive and evasive.....that alone triggered my fraud alarm.

Gayle Ross is a Cherokee storyteller and descendant of Chief Ross and lives not too far from me. IM me for her email address and we'll see if she knows about Davis.

Found his facebook but not much else besides powwow listings.
