merriment came to end when
they suddenly realized it was
time to go home. It was late,
and they had wandered further
from their village then they
thought; they were lost. They
met an aged warrior by the
name of Mesingw, the spirit of
the deer, bear, and other
animals of the forest. Mesingw
took one of the boys by the
hand and led him on a journey
through wide rivers and
beautiful forests to show him
the way home.
