My journey and preparation brought me to my native elders in my 20's, where I have listened practiced and humbled my heart to receive teachings from the most sacred of teachings on Mother Earth.

I am now an Elder, and have integrated these teachings to continue to grow and teach others.

My mother was a Native woman who was adopted, who was raised by Irish people. They were related to her on one level: the man I called my grandfather was in reality my great-uncle, who had adopted my mother. So I have an Irish-Iroquois background; that’s my tribal roots from my mother’s side. Like a lot of disassimilated Native people, she had a lot of hardship in her life.

We’re going through a time of judgment right now, of others and ourselves; we’re in a place of new awakening, I  believe. A lot of Elders speak of that time. I think this awakening is inclusive to all spiritual people, but I think what happens is that when a group of people who have been disenfranchised from their own strength and from their own spirituality are reclaiming it, sometimes they become greedy with that and fearful of that sharing. Especially considering the historical genocide of Native people by whites.

In 1993, she got into trouble with her "artwork" so she seems to be focusing now on giving psychic readings and on leading tours and workshops.

Rima hustles machine-made, gaudy-colored, cheap merchandise which she claims is made by "poor single mothers and grandmothers of the Ojibwa who directly profit from all merchandise purchased." She features and "Ojibwa woman's traditional ceremonial mask" which looks more like a Mardi Gras costume, than traditional regalia. The costume is constructed entirely of dyed ostrich feathers (A bird you see a lot around the Great Lakes) Many of her other 'ceremonial objects' can be special ordered in day-glow colors.

She's all over genealogy websites still trying to figure out her heritage. The obvious clue is calling her mother Iroquois, but never which of the Six Nations. Grew up in Indiana and the most she can cling to is a relative taking her to a rez in N Michigan, probably Sault St Marie. She mentions meeting Crow Dog and being very impressed, but I don't think that's who the supposed elders were. The fact that she's using phony medicine cards and vague claims about med wheels and shamanic teachings suggests Sun Bear or David Carson.

 In that interview she mentions she's gotten a lot of Native criticism and that's why she's mostly around white upper and middle class women. Often she tries to have it both ways, using her claim of ancestry to say she's traditional but then admitting her masks have more in common with Mardi Gras. The sad thing is she's had kids by Native men but they've been raised in Nuage nonsense.
