Good morning everyone. I read every day post very little. Only when I have a question or when I think I can contribute knowledge to a disscussion. I ran into something Saturday I had never heard of and neither had any one else either native or non-native that I have spoken to. A friend of a Cherokee whose is the wife of a Southern Cheyene had been given an old ring with a turquoise stone which was loose When she took it to a jeweler to get it fixed tobacco was found under the stone. Have any of you ever heard of this and if so what is or was it's purpose. With great respect I am Little Old Man
