I'm surprised we don't have a thread on her. She's been around for decades and is on virtually every one of the old fraud lists. But it seems she's also hidden her tracks pretty well, written some twink books and then avoids publishing any notice of her ceremony selling.

Uses youtube quite a bit along with "Master Prophet Noel."

Found this claim about her real name.

I would like to give a word of caution about the information you are imparting in regards to "Wolf Moondance".  I have personally met this woman, and she is not a Indian, nor a spiritual guide, and is not respected nor endorsed by Native Americans.  Please do a Google search of her under "Wolf Moondance, fraud" and see what comes up.  Her real name is Charlene Vernard, and she is writing these books to make herself money.  What you are reading is really offensive to Natives, and is not the truth.  Please do not follow this advice.  This woman moves her operation around the country every few years, as those in the area's she operates in become wise to her lies.  There are much better ways to learn about Native American spirituality, but buying books and throwing money at it are not the right way.  I suggest getting out and meeting REAL Indians, and go about learning from them in the correct, respectful and traditional manner.  And, this "Rainbow Medicine" story that Wolf Moondance sells is all made up by her.  I know this, because she told me.  She wanted me to be a part of her gig, as she was trying to legitimize her lodge by getting as many Indians as she could to make it look good.  I soon found out what she was about, and ran the other way as fast as I could.

Damn!  She even ADMITS to making it up, that's the worst!  At least with the other shams, one can  always leave room for a mental illness excuse and that they really believe their own delusions!

"Wolf Moondance" books are still available for sale. And people regularly quote from her books to this day.

I don't know if she is still in business. I've not yet verified if her real name is Charlene Vernard.

I've found some of her past sites:

Format: Paperback
Please avoid this book and spread the word. The author who wrote this book and several others is *NOT* or NO WAY RELATED to any Indigenous or First Nation peoples. She embarked on a fraudulent scheme many years ago to create "spiritual enlightenment" books/guides under the pen name "Wolf Moondance". She has committed numerous crimes by labelling herself and selling to the general public as "authentic teachings" of an American Indian, which is a federal crime.
Her legal name is: Charlene Vernard
I caution anyone to accept her work as truth, furthermore her name alone evokes great sorrow, pain, and anger, as well as blatant disrespect in the shrinking world of the Indigenous Americans.
There are many sites that warn of her work , and she apparently moves around the country every couple of years to avoid discovery.
Word to the wise, although there are a few legitimate guides to understanding the beliefs of First Nation's, these are often vague mostly due to the very different practices and beliefs of each tribe. Ask any tribal elder and he/she will tell you the only real way to learn, is to find an elder and respectfully ask to be taught the knowledge handed down for generations.
You can read if you like, but understand its about as fictional as you can get.

I'm not trying to slander this individual, but rather inform you of these unfortunate fictional "guides"....I myself have Native American ancestry within my entire family, but I do not align myself with a federally recognized tribe because I do not have enough documentation for the required blood quantum due to the census fire that destroyed most of the records in the early 1900's....it would be morally wrong, and disrespectful to present myself as a native without complete proof....

This source lists her name as Charlene Venard, not Vernard.

I don't see any sign that she is still active.

This doc from her or posted by a follower lists her name as Venard.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/12cweMwB03-N-xbTUq5OBxAk_V6x-m1aX2-_wCxzvAF4/edit

Youtube video from last year posted by Dillon Silvers, claims to be narrated by her. Hard to tell if the voice is male or female though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7U7h6lv3w-Y

None of her books were published after 2004. They're still out there, misleading and telling falsehoods, promoting stereotypes. Moved to Frauds, but we still need to track her/him down.

She is Charlene Hicks-Venard. Venard is her married surname.

She does have a Facebook account. It looks scrubbed clean of any mention of her "Wolf Moondance" life. She says she has major health challenges.

Both her past regular location moves and her supposed training in psychology likely have to do with her husband's occupation.

I thought this was her and then confirmed through a cached version of a website. The website still exists but the paragraph about Charlene has been removed.

The cached version may disappear so I've uploaded clips here (sign in to view).

At the age of five, Charlene Hicks received a vision from the sun, the moon and seven stars that remained with her throughout her entire life. She later called this vision Rainbow Medicine and turned it into a series of teachings and five books ...

Each authored by Charlene under the pen name of Wolf Moondance ...

One of her students is Sheila Seppi:

Quote
]For the past seventeen years, Sheila has studied with a Hopi Elder, serves as an apprentice to her and has been granted permission to take the teachings of the people forward through the oral tradition.

Quote
In July of 2008, Sheila was bestowed the honor, by visionary, teacher and world renowned author Wolf Moondance, to offer her vision teachings of Rainbow Medicine.  Sheila is currently in the process of compiling all of Wolf's teachings and turning them into a Train-the-Teachers program.

Quote
Sheila is a graduate of the one year PowerPath Shamanic program, studied through the Foundation of Shamanic Studies, and with Sandra Ingerman.  Sheila is also an ordained Interfaith Minister and Minister/Director through the Universal Brotherhood Movement and is ordained through the First Nations Church and Ministry.

She is currently working on her Ph.D. through The University of Metaphysical Science.

Can we safely assume one or both of these is/are the profile of the person in question?:
