You are bidding on a very rare taxidermied white buffalo calf, born in 2003 on a farm in Coldwater, MI. "Miracle" is not a true albino (he has brown eyes), but was still rejected by his mother, and died at 15 days old of starvation. Our seller acquired him from the farm owner, who had the taxidermy work done. Overall, he is in excellent condition, with some fur-loss patches on the extremities.

Our seller, a native American, tells us that white calves are considered a gift from the "White Buffalo Calf Woman", who taught native Americans how to survive hard times. The legend, coming from tribes west of the Mississippi such as the Lakota, says that White Buffalo Calf Woman promised that if the people followed her ways and kept with her teachings, she would periodically send white calves as a sign that she was pleased. Because this calf died so young, there was concern that perhaps she was unhappy, and that this calf was sent as a sign of her displeasure.

A powerful Native American spiritual symbol - what a rare find!!

Please see the photos for more details. Note - shipping to continental US addresses only - he's too big for Alaska/HI/PR or international. Good luck bidding!!
