Hi there and welcome! I can think of at least one other UK based NDN member here. I'm also in the UK but I'm one of the natives.

Have you got any gigs coming up?

Great, another comedian!

I'm a Cherokee (not enrolled) student living in Belgium atm (studying history) and I work as a stand up. Not much work for English speaking comedians though at the moment, so now it's just an occassional job up in Holland (or, if I'm unlucky, Groningen heh heh heh.) If you're going to be doing a gig this side of the channel any time soon, I'd love to come see it. Might even be able to talk a Choctaw friend into coming with. I haven't done any jobs in England though I keep meaning to go over some time during a summer and see how it goes. It'd be easier then to tell if it's just my jokes that suck or if it really is a language problem, lol.

Anyhow, welcome aboard.

I've only done comedy club in amsterdam once, unfortunately, because you're right - its a seriously good place to play. Really? You *want* to play in Groningen? That's like West Flanders man, it's the Mississippi of the Netherlands, and I should know - I'm from Mississippi! Nice people though, just tough if you're doing your act in English.

Yeah, that's what I've heard, the UK circuit is tough. Here if people don't like you they'll either sit quietly or talk to themselves, there you get the hecklers. I don't do ndn material here, except some really basic stuff - anything too specific goes over people's heads.

Been doing stand up about 6 years now. Not exactly in demand. But I keep thinking it'll be good experience for when I get home and in any case, I make enough to cover my school books so what the hey.

Heh, him or Burnstick - damn that man is funny !!!

Send me a pm that's cool. Maybe I can get the agency I work through to bring you over for something like Gentse Feesten.

sorry i disappeared for awhile there. i'm being stalked both on the net and in my daily life by some crazy wannabees who want to talk about dances-with-hooves for the 74th time. or to quote The Fly: "hellllp meeeee!"
