It doesn't look to be an actual sandpainting, which are not supposed to be viewed by anyone outside of the person being cured and the healer doing the painting. It's my guess these are more "inspired by" or perhaps using some of the techniques of sandpainting. I know some artists and art historians are careful to only show "sandpaintings" that have been slightly altered from the genuine ones.

Thank You. For some reason I tend to run into a lot of fakes and wannabes saying the stuff they are selling is made by real Indians. Themself's yet they don't have a Tribal ID or their CIB. With-out which I don't believe they are allowed to sell making that claim. Of course I could be wrong as I'm not in that Trade.

You are correct without a Fed card (certified tribal enrollment ) you are not allowed to claim Native Made. Some state recognized tribes are also allowed to tag products or art Native Made. Big fine if prosecuted. NAGPRA I think is the acronym. "LittleOldMan"
