Thank you-I guess what I am asking (at the risk of showing my ignorance) is ... Is there even such a thing in NA ways (of NA astrology) and if so, is this anything like it? If not-what is the difference.

I am reasonably familiar with many western North American tribal beliefs by study and association. Some of my relatives are enrolled in tribes, some are married to tribal members and some of us are just related by various relationships and long-time acquaintanceships. The one thing I can definitely say for sure about "Native American" beliefs is that you must specify the tribe you are talking about. It's not a homogeneous belief system.
I can't remember anything like the "birth sign" astrology these people are peddling. What they did was plop supposedly Native American symbols onto the European astrological schema and assign some personality characteristics to them ... it's a transplanted idea.
