« on: June 07, 2006, 04:54:00 pm »
Passed along by a member of ENAF with a friend's aid. Anyone speak French?

"I have found the following link with the help of a friend of mine who lives in France. She just stambled across them and as she knows I am trying my best to uncover the problem, she just send them off to me.
These are only a few of the Plastic Shamen in Belgium/France/French Swiss regions.

More from ENAF on frauds from France, allegedly trained by Lakotas.

A pupil of Archie Lame Deer does Sweat Lodges and vision quests in France

Hello everyone,
I have been forwarded this site from a friend of mine who stumbled across it while surfing.
His name is Jean-Claude Hornoy and he does tarot readings as well.
http://letarot.com/Rencontres-traditionnelles/index.html
http://letarot.com/huttes/index.html
It does not specify if they sell the ceremonies. There is only a telephone number and an email contact for the details,
I was told by several people that since Archie had married a French woman, he had had a house in France and did iniate some french to the drum singing and Sweat Lodges.
Garance.

A Plastic Shaman called Michel Bison Noir (Black Buffalo)

http://www.bison-noir.com/french/index.html
"Welcome to the homepage of Bison Noir and Les Granges
Michel Citrin, Founder
At Les Granges, by blending shamanism and psychology, awareness and spirituality, hum0r and celebration, I am able to guide and accompany people through a profound tranformational journey.
The center, located in the peaceful surroundings of Charente, France
A prayer circle for peace at Les Granges
offers us a unique place to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life and to reconnect with nature and our true self. Education, religion and media have led us all to believe that life is supposed to be difficult, and that we must deserve to have. Perhaps many of us find it difficult to actualize ourselves in the modern world. Maybe it can be different?
Mitakuye Oyasin,
Michel Bison Noir"

If you go in the link above you have different tabs in English, with pics of the Sweat Lodges and Vision Quests ceremonies. But as well I have found the following (does anyone knows how Marcellus Heart Bear is?):
http://www.bison-noir.com/french/index.html
"Who is Bison Noir? Michel Bison Noir (Black Buffalo) is a graduate of U.C.L.A. and the California School of Professional Psychology.
Michel Citrin was born in France in 1939. A Born healer, his passion for archeology and the spirituality of ancient civilizations led him to Asia, Europe, South and Central America as well as the Middle East where he met met masters and shamans of different traditions representing the 4 directions.
In 1981, while responsable for the Inner Perception Center in Los Angeles, Michel had Six crucial encounters:
Roselyne Bruyere, shaman and healer, who led him on the medecin path.
Schlomo Karlbach, rabbi, kabalist and a deeply loving man. Born from Michel's original tradition, he allowed him to deeply root within him the sacred meaning of tradition.
Jean Johnston, a religious piano teacher, taught him the meaning of to surrender
Hal Stone, jungian psychologist and founder of " Voice Dialogue "
Zacharia Sitchin, who taught him to follow his intuition.
Marcellus Bear Heart (road man) who for many years, along the roads in the U.S., following the rythm of the Inipi ceremonies initiated him to shamanism and named him Bison Noir
Bless you all

Hi,

I'm french and can translate some french docs if you need regarding fraud practives in France or elsewhere in Europe if you want.
I'm absolutely ashamed and revolted by French plastic shamans in France such as Michel CITRIN (formerly Black Buffalo and renamed recently as: White Buffalo recently...). Michel CITRIN is on facebook, has closed his website, but his now involved  with a French woman, his new girlfriend : LORENZA a singer who created an association to promote travels to Navajo country (seems to be Navajo adopted). Michel Citrin always perform vision quests (mostly 20 peoples at the same time on top of hill...) and I know that he "trained" few disciples in France who make "native weddings, puberty rites, vision quests, healings sessions and native american initiation such as the thirteen moons (for women). One of his more furious follower "Carole Anpo wi", living in Savoie, France, is performing such stuffs with her husband "Wambli" a mixed of new age practices (pretend that sweat lodge is an ancient Celtic ceremony and that Black Elk, Archie Fire Lame Deer... came to France to recall us our native way of living....). For that they charge a lot of money and create a kind of sectarian movement in which the quest of power and money are their unique aims. These people has no real connection with native community and abuse naives people claiming they were initiated in the Lakota tradition (such folk as Wambli never put even a foot in the US!) and that they are widespreading the native american spirituality has been part of a spiritual mission.
I tried to convince few persons who are involved with them to stop such practices sometimes with success but in Europe most of people are ignorant of the aboriginal spirituality and could'nt compare with traditional practicies.
I was myself adopted by an 84 years old Apache Chiricahua, and I'm also closely linked to a Western Apache family at Fort Apache. I use to go one month per year in AZ into the reservation with them.
I feel very upset to see that the native spirituality is abused by such people and would like to know what kind of actions you made against such people and what we can do to help you in that way.
thanks
N.B: They are all charging money for all these ceremonies and also have a special "give away ceremony" to thanks the plastic shaman during which valuable/personal objects are used to be offered in addition of the fees to thank the performing.

Thank you, and welcome. Any of the links in French you can translate would be a great help, esp where someone describes their claim of being a shaman, any ceremonies they sell, who they claim trained them.

We have a German member who translates the messages in threads that discuss frauds operating in Germany. You may wish to do the same for frauds in France. Please pass along our website to anyone you are concerned may be harmed by exploiters.

Wonder no more, it looks confirmed.
Looking at the web site and scrolling the mouse across the headers a very handy drop down list appears. On the last button there is Translate and you can choose English.
They discuss Medicine wheel, sweat lodges and Sacred Pipe.
On another button I found Meetings and there is a timetable for The Bear Tribe's (!!!) meetings across Europe and it even includes teaching the sacred pipe.
Even more interesting is a meeting to be held in California/USA...
