Critter, I was making a general statement about the mind-set of most people; it wasn't directed toward you. A man I respect commented this past week that it's time for us all to quit playing the victim, to take responsibility for our own future. I agreed with that sentiment when I read it; I still do. I was thinking of his words.
BTW . . . You might want to wait until I'm completely finished posting next time before you quote me. You'd be quoting what I actually said that way.

But in the context you just explained.. yes.. there are many people feeling the victim of this or that.. or.. they are in the 'i'm helpless, i'm only human' mode waiting for a savior to come and save them and taking no responsibility for it.. cuz.. after all, they're human.. it's a bland excuse.
My belief is that life is entirely within our own hands, and we have to step up to the plate here.. take responsibility.. and save ourselves.
As for taking the comment as directed to me, it's an easy mistake when seeing yourself quoted and then comments underneath. Next time may want to state something to dispel that you are not replying to them personally.. cuz most people would think you are talking to them when you quote their words.
