Hi.  I googled and binged and couldn't find anything on this person. Supposedly is a 'shaman/medicine man' from San Carlos rez.

He is on tonight 7pm eastern time.

Sun 7 pm PTN Channel 5, Guest in the LightStream studio, John Shadowhawk. We will share a variety of Native American music, history and other helpful knowledge. peoplestvnetwork.com/channel5.html

I plan on attending and want to know exactly what key questions to ask of this guy.

Thanks!

Well, I didn't stay for all of it. Just the 1st hour, but missed the beginning. Peoples TV Network (PTN) is a big
newage web radio thing.

Mostly tho they talked about us gov and Leonard Peltier. This show is pretty right wing, seemed mostly
was using it as platform to bash Obama administration. I guess some newagers are right wingers too.
Anyway, while I was there they didn't talk about him being a shaman.

It might be nice to have a sticky thread/post with list of reasonable questions a person may want
to ask if meeting someone claiming to be a 'shaman'.

We do have a list we passed out to Europeans when I did a speaking tour there in 2004. It might be time to resurrect or update it.

Found him on this newsletter for a Methodist church. On last page. Anyone know of the two Lakota mentioned?

NEW MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
With great pleasure we spotlight our newest member,
John Shadowhawk. John was born in County, IL. and
moved to Sand Carlos Indian Reservation when he
was one. He has worked a lot with our Native
American Indian tribes and other cultures to teach
them how to live and work together. Most of the
reservations he has worked on have been in Pine
Ridge, ND, Rose Bud and Wind River and Cheyenne.
On the reservations John works mainly with the
elders and young people. One of John’s mentors
was David Browneagle who was the medicine man
for the Lakota Sioux. Jimmy Healingbear, John’s
uncle, was another mentor. John is a spiritual leader
for the Indian tribes, his name is Eamaesiwa. John’s
brother, Golden Hawk, gave him a flute and John
taught himself how to play beautiful music. He has
played his flute for many school and University
assemblies. He will be playing at Rehoboth in April;
at that time he will also wear his full Indian regalia.
John moved to Gallatin 6 months ago and works for
Food Lion. Take time to get to know John. He is
very interesting and has great stories to share about
his beloved American Indian nation.

Thanks. Resurrecting that list would be helpful.  :D

Also, what I observed about this fellow is that he did not do most of the speaking. The host
was the talker.

Actually, I saw Dave Browneagle back in July. I only know him slightly, just to say hello and exchange pleasantries. I know he's Spokane/Hochunk and he emcee's a lot of powwows in the northwest. Other than that I've never heard him or anyone else say he was a medicine man.
