Just found out that these people train others to conduct "Vision Fasts" wich is similar the same as a Vision Quest. There is a woman out here in Germany who runs their ceremonys for money in Italy. She states to be skilled by Steven Foster und Meredith Little from the "School of lost borders".

The legacy of the School of Lost Borders began in the early 1970's. During the ensuing decades the shape of the School has periodically morphed to better serve our internal growth, as well as the changing times. In July of 2008 the School became a 501(c)(3) non profit. Our commitment to finding form to meet change and to allow for creative growth, matches our commitment to support each individual and our species through this same natural process.

We are an interconnected circle of men and women who share a deep respect for the land, human nature, ceremony, and each other. We are guides who extend this same respect and caring to each person who feels the call to join us in ceremony. 
 
We live a passion for the diversity of life, for the nature of human, for the voice of ceremony, for the healing qualities of community. We take the role of guide seriously, setting our own story aside to help birth each individual’s evolving mythos. We are not Gurus or Healers; we are skilled midwives in supporting the natural transitions and initiations of living and dying. Our teachers are the land, the ceremony itself, and each person bold enough to step across the threshold into the unknown mystery of their “becomingness”.

They seem not to charge fixed prices, this is what I found.

The School of Lost Borders has created a sliding scale for all it's fast and trainings in an effort to keep our courses affordable to a wide range of people. We set forth no criteria and trust that each individual will pay what they feel is appropriate.

Tuition: $600 - $750

Deposit: $200
(Non-refundable & non-transferrable unless seminar is cancelled)

Extra Fees: $295 for camping and food; $395 for a shared room and food

....they explored the realms of pan-cultural wisdom and how to appropriately create modern initiation rites which addressed the challenges of today’s world.  Significant teachers appeared including Heyemoyosts Storm, Sun Bear, Grandpa Raymond, and Virginia Hine.

Practical preparation: The School makes no provisions for meals or equipment. We ask everyone to come prepared to live self-sufficiently. You will need to bring shelter and clothing suitable for a full range of inclement weather. IOW,you pay them money for...going out to the woods alone to fast and meditate. Really, couldn't someone do that for free themselves in a national park? Most of the site seems like a lot of feel good therapies. There's a lot of high sounding talk about sustainability on the site, but I don't see much being sustained beyond the fees paid to trainers to make people feel like they're doing something deep or meaningful.
