What I found on them points toward people who are well intentioned but maybe not so knowledgeable themselves. My guess is they are descendants or have family stories of being so. They repeat the dubious story of the Yahoo Falls supposed massacre. If you look at the older threads on groups like the so called Cherokee of Kentucky, that story originally came from a fiction book with characters like Princess Cornblossom. Notice that on their News section they mention members who now claim to be descended from this fictional character.
And someone who speaks Cherokee correct me if I'm wrong, but are all the members taking Cherokee names? Even one who says he's Taino and another saying they're Lakota? I didn't find the word wahiya in an online Lakota dictionary, but one member who says he's Brule is calling himself that Cherokee word for wolf.
I also note they link to the Riddgetop Shawnee, an unrecognized group who seem to have quite a few internal problems and are no more.
