She is of Cherokee ancestry and honors that heritage in her life and ongoing work. Her artwork is an expression of her way of life.

She is a Spiritual teacher who teaches classes on the Introduction to Native American Classes, Medicine Wheel, Woman's Wheel, and the Moon Wheel as well as drum and rattle making classes

Lori Boess states on her own site:

A lifelong resident of Washington, Lori was raised in Tacoma and now calls Olympia her home. She was adopted into the Eastern Band Cherokee by Elder Bonnie Pemberton.

I wonder why all the "Buy Button" and "Donation Button" links don't work.

Also, on that land page it says under the request for donation it says:

The teachings are free. You can never not come
because you don't have the money.

Donate Button here.

But the button doesn't work.

She's selling "journeying" experiences to find your "totem animals" and "personal medicine". She uses Harner, fake Plains, and Wiccan terminology.

Just as, if not more, offensive, she has a page there called "The Cherokee Nation"... but on it, there is nothing about the Cherokee Nation, or any other living, traditional Cherokee community. Rather she speaks of the Cherokee people in the past tense (!!!) and claims people need to restore Cherokee traditions. As she is selling fake ceremonies to non-Natives, one assumes she is telling non-Natives that they are the ones who need  to "restore" these ways. Oh, and she'll sell you a name, too.

Whether she says these offensive things out of ignorance of Cherokee communities and ways, or as a marketing tactic, I cannot say, but I don't see anything authentic or appropriate about what this person is doing.

On this page people also refer to her as "Blue" and "Blue Eagle Moon": http://www.soaringeaglewoman.com/testimonials.html

Does anyone know if this woman ever called herself "Rainbow"?  (That's a serious question, btw)

ETA: Lori Boess and Bonnie Pemberton are also mentioned briefly in the Bennie LeBeau thread, here: http://www.newagefraud.org/smf/index.php?topic=499.msg28569#msg28569http://www.newagefraud.org/smf/index.php?topic=499.msg28569#msg28569

I'll keep an eye out for any mention of her possibly using the name Rainbow too.

She is listed in public state of Washington voter records as an active voter, still on Whidbey Island.

She's listed as an artist with a gallery in Port Townsend WA http://www.ancestralspirits.com/native-artists.html

For security reasons, we do not publicly display the location of the Solstice gathering. Those who have paid their registration fees and sent in their registration form are sent a map and directions.

"Rainbow" Sweat lodge plus:

Quote
Following breakfast on Sunday morning, the Solstice Giveaway ceremony is based on the Native American tradition of giving away something of value to you to another participant in the gathering. The exact format of the giveaway varies, depending on the ritual leader. This ceremony often brings tears, laughter, surprises and an unusual level of emotion to the women and children present. It's one of those experiences you have to be a part of in order to truly appreciate.

Bonnie with her bio is listed in Resources & Links

(Site is difficult to navigate)

Looks like this is probably somewhere in western Washington, the group says they first met on Whidbey Island 1988.

I know, it's weird. She's selling all this, but her buttons don't work. Maybe the pages are new
and she is just beginning putting them up? Hasn't work out all the bugs? Or is it old and defunct?

Or maybe she tried to say it was free by putting that bit on there about people not having to pay,
but ended up just disabling it? I mean, if she has been contacted about this already..

I don't know, I just think it's really weird to have a business yet the purchase buttons don't work.

My guess is that the site just isn't maintained anymore. Looks like the site is not new.

Domain Name: SOARINGEAGLEWOMAN.COM

I've run across this before with various new age sites, folks don't maintain or update, things aren't coded right, their Under Construction banners never come down. Definitely makes their stuff look extra lame. :)
