Born in Chimney Rock, Pennsylvania, USA, Richard has been following his Native Culture for many years. Growing up, he was taught many hand crafts such as leather working and beading from tribal members. A Lakota Sioux elder taught silver smithing and instructed Littlefeather in some of the cultural ways of his people. For over 24 years, Littlefeather has been counsellor, teacher, University lecturer, and public speaker. Richard has been running workshops sharing culture, handcrafts, and teaching Personal Awareness. His teachings are based on the tenet of respect and awareness of the natural world around us.

Wife and possible mother of RCN is Margaret Jean McNally. Margaret Jean McNally prior was married to Richard Charles Nale Sr. They divorced in 1970.

James E McNally listed as the father of Margaret Jean McNally in a birth notice.

RCN claim  "my Mother was Irish-Indian". So if I have all my ducks in a row (there always could be adoptions, wrong connections etc.), Margaret Jean McNally would be the person to focus on.

Greetings family <3 Some of you may have met our elder brother Richard Littlefeather in his almost 26 years of travelling around Australia sharing medicine wheel workshops, talks, drum making and assorted gatherings. His love of music and Native American background has led him to explore many musical instruments and to creating some beautiful wooden flutes with the most amazing tones.

Richard and his wife are based in Tasmania and it’s time for less travelling and time to create a gathering place for ceremony, a place to share regular drum circles and other events with inexpensive accommodation and a place for other teachers to bring their gifts to the people. He is currently building a Round House on his property to enable many more people to gather, to learn and grow together. This new venture is one that we can all support, by donation if you can but also by sharing this post so more people can get to know about Richard and Leannan’s vision.
