I originally logged on this morning to let most of you know there is a new video out you might want to see made by one of our supporters who was there yesterday.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=qNDbkPQg8RMNow I feel I must answer EuropeanAmerican.
In the first place you were obviously misinformed. Rachel Holzwarth is the real name of the woman you came to see with the grandmother drum. If you were there you heard her say "Do NOT call me Rachel, that is not my name", yet that is the name she gave to the Fish and Wildlife Agent who was there to escort her out so he could confiscate her ILLEGAL eagle feathers. It is against the law for a person to posess feathers from migratory or protected species without a permit and she knew this yet CHOOSE to break the law. That is the type of person you came to see an admitted criminal.
Further, the "Prayerformance" was cancelled by her, not us. We were going to stay outside and protest. She is the one who choose to cancel the "Prayerformance" and meet with us so people would not have to hear about it from outside. To enter her "Prayerformance" you would have had to pay $33.00 in advance (no break for children) or $40.00 at the door. She charges the organizations that host her drum $2500.00 plus travel expenses to bring her there, or 60% of the door take whichever is greater, plus she gets 100% of the sale of the items (baby drums, rattles, etc.)
I can direct you to several news articles as you heard mentioned by one of the people who was there on Friday (Weymouth, Ma. where the blood was rubbed on the drum by her, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Alaska, Australia, etc.) where it is described as Native American. You would also have heard one of the people there mention several Native Reservations and HIGHLY respected leaders, some of whom were on the telephone (except for when one of her supporters unplugged it, we only found out yesterday that the interuption in the telephone was intentional and who did it, although we don't know his name he was in the back of the room standing next to our young cancer survivor, who said Ms. Holzwarth "did not want the burden placed on them" {our healers}, so we all saw his face.) causing one of the people to move into the center of the room to reinitiate the call. You saw all this so you would know it to be true.
I am sorry, but I consider this an act of sabotage when our respected leaders are intentionally disconnected from a conversation where in Ms. Holzwarth's own words, " We are honored to welcome all those that have voiced their feelings through emails or phone calls to come in a peaceful way to resolve these concerns. We also welcome all those who feel called and would benefit from this kind of circle." As all readers here know we struggled to bring these leaders to us, but do to funding issues, (for your own edification people living on reservations in this country often do not have running water or electricity and are below poverty level incomes, some at just over $2,000.00 per YEAR), we could not get them in. So one of the people (not with Ms. Holzwarth, actually the one who crawled, in extreme pain, on their hands and knees to the center of the room to reinitiate it) paid out of their pocket for that telephone conference call.
Also, traditionally the original people, Native Americans, the women do not do the drumming on a big drum, but only use hand drums. This is known to all who know the people who were here first.
Apparently you must have been paying such intense attention to what was being said (or you left early) that you lost track of time because (if you were still there) you would have heard Ms. Kathy Gayoski (the moderator) trying desparately hard to get the talking stick (microphone) around the room so everyone had a chance to speak, say we only had the room for another 20 minutes. The room was reserved until 10:00 and we continued to speak after that and I personally did not get out until almost 10:30. The room was actually available ALL day. Ms. Holzwarth requested a private audience with only one of our grandmother's and a representative from Ohio, (Oh! and of course the Fish and Wildlife officer ascertaining Ms. Holzwarth did not leave without him to be able to confiscate the eagle feathers), until 6:30, the meeting of the minds was actually supposed to start at 6:00pm, so it was late. Yes the "prayerformance" was supposed to start at 7:00pm.
As for the drum, it might be prudent to tell you, the blood is not inside the drum, inside the drum are human remains. They are those of a woman who died with her in Australia (and she couldn't heal her). The blood was from one of our warriors, her is a first hand account of the blood being placed on the drum.
"White Eagle Medicine Woman came over to the spot on the gym floor near me where the policewoman had subdued her opponent ... The police picked him up and started force walking him towards the exit doors.
She noticed that his blood was on the floor. I watched her put her right hand down on the hard wooden floor, wet with his blood, and then deliberately rub her right hand around on the little red puddle. Then she paused and rubbed both hands together. She went to the drum and rubbed the blood off her hands and onto the drum skin. Her actions were eerily calm, slow and deliberate, in great contrast to the commotion and noise around us. She was not speaking."
This is the type of person you were going to pay to see.
The statements I have made here can all be substantiated by newspaper artciles, or by your own eyewitness account, or in the case of the disconnection by eye witness account of several of the people there.
You witnessed the voices of the people there who spoke from their heart, you know this to be true, search deep within and listen and the creator will tell you all you heard said that evening to be true.
