We have alot going on with our site but - Tsissy you are right..alot of people have slacked off - but alot of new people are working on it now.... even so we need alot of supporter back up to get this new craziness stopped by Suraj/Rachel.  Did anyone catch the "Aho" in her latest letter..sheesh.....

We have a biiig announcement coming up - Got a call this morning and I will release the information by tonight hopefully.

We are NOT redoing the Petition..... for a very happy reason:)

I have my doubts about the sincerity of Robbie Crane's letter. I addressed some of those in a post on the G.W. Hardin - Gathering of One thread. Since Holzwarth isn't going to be participating in that event now (still think it's damage control), we need to focus on what she is planning to do. Does anyone know anything about Monica Ravenhart and the Bison Vision group?

Superdog, great post! I had a feeling that somehow Holzwarth would turn that meeting into a P.R. moment. She's never had a problem twisting and turning actual events to validate herself. She did it in Alaska, Australia, and even in Weymouth.

The group I work with, Bison Vision of Livingston Montana, is doing just that, using a ranch in Eastern Montana (in the epicenter of the Poppers Buffalo Commons) as a teaching center. Social order buffalo are to be an integral part of this plan. These animals (30 satellite family members) will be in place this fall and the teaching already going on this summer will be expanded next year to show how bison life can be a guide to human living … whether it is troubled teens or corporations. I am looking forward to being a part of something that relates back to when Plains Indians studied buffalo to apply their behavior to their own lives. We will hold a healing ceremony in Paradise Valley, MT on May 8th in conjunction with Bennie LeBeau's from sunrise to sunrise.  We are only 30 miles from the north entrance to Yellowstone Park. We will create a large Medicine Wheel in and around the Earthship house on the property. Our prayer circle will be held at the center inside the Earthship using a Causal Vortex geometric Metaform to broadcast and connect our collective prayers and focused intention around the world.There will of course be drumming, healing songs, and whatever we can do along the same lines as the main ceremony in Grand Teton.

This property has large beaver ponds, woods, and the Yellowstone River as
its back border, and is surrounded by the Absorka and Gallitan Mountain
ranges.  We also have a labyrinth on the property. We welcome anyone in the area to join us. Camping and group sleeping arrangements can be made.  Bring own accommodations.

BFC Update from the Field 11/29/07

Excerpt from Stephany's update, after seven buffalo had been killed by the Salish-Kootenai, who are hunting under treaty rights for the first time in almost 150 years:

Gibson and I were torn. We held deep sadness in our hearts for these buffalo, for all that they suffer, yet we also couldn't help but feel a certain awe and respect for the reawakening relationship between the buffalo and the Salish-Kootenai. As our dear friend Monica RavenHeart said to me a couple days later, "Remember the voice and the spirit inside the ancient bones? Imagine the spirit of the buffalo just killed enveloping the hunter and anyone else nearby. Never underestimate what is really happening when you see a buffalo fall. If it was not its mission it would be deep in the park pushing snow. Those who come forward, come forward as warriors and great wise beings... you honor them by acknowledging their mission." Is that why this mixed group caught us by surprise, coming out so early in the year? Were these buffalo warriors carrying a message, willing to sacrifice themselves in order to be heard, felt and understood?
