Randall Brown

I'm really sort of speechless.

"Because of his mixed heritage of English/Irish & Cherokee/Apache bloodlines, the Soke began researching the fighting arts of the American Indian. There was little or no information available other than a few written accounts of skirmishes and the archeological remains of battered skulls that told of bludgeoning (probably with war clubs or tomahawks) and stabbing. There were also a few photos of bodies that had been scalped in raids, but not much else.

Through a friend, the Soke met a Seminold Indian who lived in the Florida everglades. This man taught him native hunting and survival methods but recalled little to nothing of his tribe's warfare methods. This friendship eventually guided the Soke to the western states, where he was introduced to a Canadian born descendant of the Comanche tribe. He was veteran of WWII and owned a small ranch, but traveled about breaking horses to earn some extra cash. Wind Painter (as he was called) would become the guiding force in the Soke's  quest to learn the Native American fighting arts.

Although Wind Painter was not in the habit of giving away titles or rankings, he did manage to assign tasks that required graduated amounts of skill and were rewarded with coups (war count) and objects of honor (feathers, claws, etc.). After years of friendship and intermittent training, Wind Painter was heard  referring to the Soke on three separate occasions as a brave or a scout.

As a result of the Sokes's involvement in the American Indian fighting arts, he was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Association's Hall of Fame as a Native American martial arts instructor."

Randall Brown would be the teacher of the teacher of the fighting genious Creole (I am not sure about Leroy however, he remains elusive).
