A Lenape who quotes from the (???) "Lakota Instructions for Life," is married to a woman calling herself Spirit Tracker (?), and can help you win at craps can't be genuine in any way...can he?

Haven't we seen a few "Turtle Island Chautauqua and Eastern Lenape Nation" types show up here before?

I don't know who these clowns, dabosijigwokush and Laurel are, but they need to get their heads and facts straight before they go off on tangents about that which they know nothing.
First, I'd love to know what is meant by us Eastern Lenape "types." I am  Lenape/Delaware.
My anglo name was characterized as Lavin. Wrong - it's Levin.  My Lenape or Indian name is Opelaniye Ilye (Eagle Warrior).
My wife is SpiritTracker, not Spirit Tracker. She is Eastern Band Cherokee descendant of a mid-18th Century chief.

Yes, I wrote a book about winning at casino craps. Something I've mastered and done regularly. So what? It's called "Dynamics of Winning Casino Craps."
I also wrote a self-help book. Both can be seen at www.eaglewarriorbooks.com and are available at Amazon.

I have a widely praised CD, "Spirit Tracker" of me performing Native American flute. www.nativeamericansmusic.com.

Whoever you are, try to get your facts straight before casting aspersions and speaking about that of which you know nothing. Your insinuations are dangerously close to libel. Read carefully into that.

One other thing, I have never, ever claimed to be a healer.  Even If I thought I was, I would not proclaim it.

Louis Levin, of New Town, was in his 50s when a cousin researching the family's genealogy discovered Levin's mother's Native American heritage.

"She didn't know her Indian heritage -- that she was a Lenape," said Levin, now 71, who goes by the name Louis Eagle Warrior. "Or at least she never mentioned it."

"There are very few full-blooded Indians east of the Mississippi," Levin said.

Growing up, Levin was raised in a Jewish household and observed Jewish holidays. Since his 20s he has been a "devout atheist," he said.

Once learning he had Native American blood, Levin said he "jumped head-first into the research to try to catch up" and learn all he could about the Lenape clan. They are also known as the Delaware.

His wife, June SpiritTracker, is Cherokee. Her family can be traced back to the 1700s as descendants of a Cherokee chief.

Levin says his calling has always been in music. His mother was an opera singer.

Levin majored in music at the University of Tampa. He did not know back then that his primary instrument of choice later in life would reflect his heritage.

"The Native American flute kept calling to me, calling to me," he said. "We were a marriage made in heaven. For the most part, I just connected with it."

Over the years, Levin said, he has worked a variety of jobs, from a professional magician to sales.

He has also written a book on how to win at craps and a self-help book, "Dynamics of the Self."

But what he loves most is playing the Native American flute.

While Levin's Native American heritage was a new discovery for him, his wife already knew about her Cherokee background.

"In one fell swoop it almost hit us all in one day," he said. "We were at a pow wow and something happened to us. We were feeling things we never felt before. It was just amazing" to think that they had both met and both were of Native American ancestry.

well......so yeah this guy is married to a real life cherokee princess.....didnt know they existed anymore

and he didnt know of any native heritage beforehand? ok....for arguments sake i wont doubt that he does......but need to ask WHY everyone who "discovers" their native heritage well into adulthood become super-ndns? what are they trying to prove? they give themselves hokey names and run around wearing buckskin and playing flutes.....they really go ALL IN

obviously you are not connected in any way to your "heritage" so why use it to market yourself? why would you teach misinformation as some kinda expert on a "tribe" you never even grew up in?

oh......you can sue me for libel all you want mr eagle warrior.....you cant squeeze water out of a rock haha
