Forum upgrade
« on: July 21, 2012, 08:15:36 am »
Dear users,

the forum has been upgraded to SMF 2.0.2, which is more secure and has many new features and bugfixes compared to previous versions. The layout has changed, I hope you like it.

Together with this update, we also now have a new chat system: http://www.newagefraud.org/chat
It is IRC - Based and offers all advantages of this platform, but on the other hand it requires no browser plugin or install of any kind and works well on slow connections. Note that you can join either #NAFPS (the default) or #Psiram . #Psiram is populated around 9 PM in Central Europe which is 3 PM in New York ( http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ )

Please feel free to post any comments, criticism or problems here.

Thank you for your patience and have a lot of fun with our new look.

Whoa, check this out!  Quite a spiffy new look.  I like it.

I know I have been experiencing bizarre behaviour on the site the past few months which I suspect will cease with the new version.

Thank you for the update to the software.

I am sorry to say that I am again experiencing the problem that it does not display "unread posts" correctly. Today it shows one unread post when in fact there are at least two.  :-\

Is it possible that you are experiencing this behaviour:

If so, its a feature, not a bug...

Hmmm, I don't exactly know if that explains it. What I know is that in the past, "show unread posts" seemed to always work and now it seems to work only intermittently. But I will try "show all unread posts" and see if that helps. Thanks.

I made it repair its database, and indeed it claimed there were some inconsistencies. Maybe that will fix it?

Thank you for your feedback!

Are there any wishes as to what we should have additionally? I'll have some spare time Aug 12-19 and can add features, plugins etc...
