I have been a longtime reader on this forum. And after a long hiatus I returned with a question I postet in the not so sure if fraud or not board. I am German-Finnish and got here because I red about so called plastic shamans on a German skeptic blog. And this remembered me of a happening I had some years ago in Finland.
I walked with my parents along the habor in Helsinki, Finland. And a troop of "Native American Dancer", who made some Hollywood-Indian-Dance-Folklore that a lot of people watched curiously. Me and my parents walked by rather unimpressed and I asked my mother: Well, if these indians are real native Americans. And my mum, even more unimpressed, replied: Oh, you mean the indians from Bonn (former capital of Germany)?! I looked at her a bit irritated and she went on: "I saw them as they packed their stuff out of the car and it was a car with a German license plate number. From Bonn."
Whenever I read through the Fraud-Board I cannot help but think of this little story.
