And I agree, Chuck and Lency might be two people who started out with good intentions, but then went seriously, horribly  astray. They are responsible for a lot of damage.

I wonder why they aren't publicly active on the mainland USA. They run expensive trainings at their home in Hawaii, but they don't look to be also doing seminars in LA, NYC, Denver, Seattle, or other places we might expect to see these types of seminars offered. Their Trainer Program Director, Francine Girard, lives near Seattle, but does events over the border in Canada.

Breaking the Silence and Healing the Legacy

The Breaking the Silence and Healing the Legacy community healing program allows a trained and qualified First Nation team to respond to the need for supporting First Nations Residential School Survivors to address the affects of the Legacy within their home communities instead of dealing with it in isolation. It provides the Residential School survivors the opportunity to empower themselves in choosing to heal past issues rather than living in constant pain. This program also encourages the Residential School survivors and their descendants who haven’t yet chosen to heal their pain, to attend to one of our healing workshops where they can witness the positive changes from those who do participate.

For those who choose to initiate or continue their healing journey, and have been affected by the Legacy, will benefit from this Program by empowering themselves and thus gaining the courage to address their painful Residential School experiences in the safest healing environment possible. They will have access to various healing tools that are offered by the non-denominational Psychology of Vision® healing model. The freedom and leadership to be embraced and shared from past survivors will in essence have a rippling effect within their respective communities. Thus creating a safer and healthier living environment for themselves, their children, grandchildren and the future generations.

This community healing/training is especially essential to those Residential School Survivors and their descendents who have chosen to use this program. We will teach and model the necessary holistic support, coaching and follow-up care in co-operation along with the provision of our mandatory community commitment that will ensure the training of specific frontline community workers, healthcare workers and community counselors that remain as supplementary community support people. It is our mandate to train key community support staff present in each community to ensure that all participants will have access to essential support services after we finish the training.

Our First Nations Trainers are trained in The Psychology of Vision® (POV) healing model which has proven effective in many cultures around the world – from England, Germany, Japan, Norway, Switzerland, Taiwan, Canada and Africa.. The three major focuses of the model are relationship, leadership through accountability and finally non-denominational spirituality.

In 1991, Dr. Chuck Spezzano and his wife, Lency, who developed this transformational healing model, responded to requests from First Nations’ communities in British Columbia to donate their time and expertise to beging healing this painful Legacy. Since then they have presented one to two workshops a year in kind, organized by several BC First Nations communities like Haida Gwaii, Gitxsan Territory, Tsleil Waututh Nation and Willaims Lake. To date there are now dozens of First Nations here in British Columbia who have received the benefit of this training and now are fully qualified in using this healing model to now support and empower our people, thus the focus of this mandate – to send out a qualified FN Healing team to further the healing on the ground in our communities.

The POV healing model is about love, innocence, empowerment, accountability for our lives, and ‘response-ability’ to ourselves and others. It is about freeing both victims and victimizers from their pain and traps, finding the hidden gifts and talents blocked by such traps, and empowering people to become successful leaders and healers in their own right. Once a person has spent quite a bit of money and time (including time spent being brainwashed) to advance to a trainer level, they must sign an agreement to pay annual license fees.  In 2011 these were the annual fees:

Level 1 $4500
Level 2 $6250
Level 3 $6700
Level 4 $7500
First Nations trainers $500

But that is not all. Trainers have to go to the annual 10 day trainers conference. No exceptions. If a trainer misses a full day of the conference, they are put on probation, and must do (pay for) more conferences within the next 6 months.

A trainer needs to be available to staff for workshops. They need to take additional training. At least once every two years they have to attend an apprenticeship training.

Trainers have to book monthly coaching sessions. They have to see their coach bi-monthly. They need to listen live to recorded quarterly conference calls with Chuch and Lency. They need to study the teaching materials. Complete 3 self evaluation reports a year. These reports must be on time, this fact is stressed in the manual.

They must promote all trainers, events, funds, and products. They must do specific daily "healing exercises".

The Steps to Leadership program must be taught once in full and solo by new trainers. The program and license must be bought from the appropriate division and monitored by that division.

Any "issues of commitment" to the team is said to "reflect issues in our family of origin that are not yet cleared".

I hate this nuage b.s. too. People get all twisted around and confused, vulnerable to predators like the Spezzanos who claim that they know exactly why we have cancer or other health challenges.

Information from survivors:

Chuck does baptisms and marriages, he says he is a minister.

Chuck often asks questions like "Wouldn't you want to receive heavens grace?", questions most people would not want to say no to. He asks questions like this, and people find themselves saying yes to him again and again.

During trainings he has people stand up, and stand wherever he tells them. Whoever is the current focus person chooses who in the room will represent parts of their life. Chuck directs the focus person as they then walk from person to person. Everyone emotes and goes through a lot of misery. Chuck directs the entire thing. You do what he says.

Chuck claims that he has special powers that enable him to read cues. What finger your ring is on, how you tilt your head when you are thinking, your supposed karmic roles - Chuck is the grand interpreter, the god who knows what everything means.

There is no room for debate. Chuck is in charge and these sessions are all about breaking down our natural instincts to fight and defend.

Long, long hours of focus are used to wear people down until they give up.

People have ended up feeling absolutely crazy. Chuck will still push and push people to emote. People have described feeling suicidal, wanting to jump out windows in order to escape the hellish sound of so many people screaming and crying in a closed room.

People end up comatose on the floor.

Once home, some people have felt zoned out for a week or more, unable to think clearly, feeling disconnected from their family.

Chuck uses signature songs, such as In the Arms of an Angel, Into the Mystic, many of Sarah McLachlan's songs. He tailors his song list according to his targets. He has them played over and over again until people fall apart. People who have left this group report not being able to listen to these songs anymore without great distress.

There is an immense amount of pressure to keep with the "group mind".  Chuck tells people that they can stop wars and earthquakes with their group mind.  He tells people they must do group mind deposits in the group mind bank for peace and healing.

Often the focus person at these events crumples and falls to the ground, or freezes in place, or shakes and cries. This is traumatic to watch and everyone else in the room ends up crying harder. Just as Chuck wants.

She lives in Washington state, USA, but does not show up on a WA health care provider license search for either Francine Girard or a marriage surname of Hovde. https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/providercredentialsearch/SearchCriteria.aspx

Francine Girard was a rapid recruit and moved fast up the ladder. Former members report that this rapid rise was mysterious to them, as other members had been in the group longer, but were not allowed to rise as fast.

She lives in Everett, WA, but doesn't seem to do any trainings on mainland USA, nor does anyone else in POV.

A former member describes a 10 day workshop in Canada, where people had to do a special walk toward Francine, so she could determine if they had "succumbed to the bliss stage" yet. If Francine decided you weren't doing it right, you got sent to the back of the line.

At times Francine acts like Lency Spezzano.

Ruby Tang is also an important part of the Spezzano money making machine. She travels with Chuck extensively, is one of his main interpreters, and has had a big influence in recruiting Asian folks. She is based in Canada.

One of Chuck's long time partners in POV is Charles Campbell. He often is at Canadian events. He is an advanced trainer. http://povcanada.com/trainers/charles-campbell/ Charles and Chuck often run an act together - Charles lays down on the floor and tries to sleep through trainings, Chuck then berates him for his "passive behavior". Since they do this often, it sounds like a purposeful act as part of the Spezzano show, intended to get points across to the audience.

Babs Stevens is an example of the incredibly destructive inroads that Psychology of Vision is able to make into First Nations communities. She is chief administrative officer with the Skidegate Band Council, of the Haida Nation.

She is a trainer, and has recruited many into POV. In order to keep her trainer status she has to regularly go through trainings herself, trainings which includes practice in "self annihilation".

Chuck tosses many religious and psychological systems into a blender, and mixes them up completely until they are a total mess. This includes his own versions of tarot, fantasy literature, Sufism, Hinduism, Judaic mysticism, and more.

Chuck directs people to stand in a certain arrangement in the room, fitting the shape of a pseudo Kabbalah Tree of Life. He then "processes" them through this design. He is following on the heels of other groups that have ripped off the Kaballah, notably Kabbalah Center International, whose group attracts famous people like Madonna.

In 2001 on a POV forum someone expressed concern about an ex-partner, mother of his child, who had joined the group. He reported that she now felt superior, spoke with the loaded language of a cult member, and was obsessed with the group. He wrote "she's working her ass off now for Mr Spedzanno's arrival in her country (The Netherlands) and of course the master will only arrive when there is enough money to be made".

In 1980 Chuck travelled to Vancouver, Canada for his first lecture. He began doing psychic development workshops up the west coast but by 1982 seeing the need he switched to only conducting healing workshops. He travelled frequently also to New England and then to Minnesota. In 1983 he was invited to Japan, the U. K. and Germany for the first time. By 1987 he was travelling regularly to Switzerland, the U. K., Japan, Canada and France.

In 1990 Chuck and Lency began travel to Taiwan for the first time, and in 1991 to Malaysia. In 1991 he and Lency met with Edna Brillon, a First Nations woman, and found they had the same vision about supporting First Nations Peoples.

It was also at this time, 1991, that the Psychology of Vision model was given its name by Chuck. And while their work has gone beyond human and shamanic vision into spiritual vision and higher consciousness, the name Psychology of Vision, or POV, holds a dear place in their hearts.

So this is how Chuck presents the history of his group. He's been at these fraud schemes for awhile now.

In his July/Aug 2000 newsletter, Chuck laid out his plans to expand across the mainland USA.

My book tour through Orange County, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle was exhilarating and successful.

A new company called LLC has been established to begin operations in North America. Lency and I are planning some talks and a one day workshop in Orange County in September before the Canadian weekend at the end of the month. A few years ago I was inspired to reopen the US after years of traveling internationally but we have not had time in our busy schedules to allow for this before now.

A Canadian Child and Family Psychologist was active with POV for years, former members say they saw her at many workshops. Dr. Barbara Ann Marcus Perks is now on retired status with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (they regulate the profession), meaning she is not currently licensed for active practice.

Dr. Barbara Perks is a Child and Family Psychologist who has worked in schools and private practice with children, parents, and staff. She is a member of College of Psychologists of British Columbia and a member of the College of Teachers of British Columbia.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Education and Psychology from Pennsylvania State University, a Masters of Arts in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University, and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Child Psychology from the University of British Columbia.

Barbara, a POV Advanced Trainer, has been part of the Psychology of Vision community since January 1990. She works with the energy of bliss and joy through a healing method.

Personally, I find this mind boggling, that a psychologist would ever involve themselves with POV.
