Chuck Spezzano & Psychology Of Vision
« on: September 04, 2013, 04:43:17 pm »
Chuck Spezzano is definitely not First Nations, he appears to be targeting first nations and their healing money.
spezzano mentioned in a nafps post under a fraud named Philip Young, Spezzano is mentioned in the last entryon this posting.

http://www.newagefraud.org/smf/index.php?topic=1474.0

Spezzano has been targeting First Nations in healing money in British columbia, Canada,
some of the targeted money was meant for Residential school survivors The Aboriginal Healing Foundation and fn's village band councils band funding are some targeted funders that have given him money for rss survivors
Spezzano's healing model is based on A Course Of Miracles, which is a recognized cult in the U.S.A.
To become an "advanced Trainer" in his organization you have 100 plus days of his "training" and to join or become a "oneness dheeksha blesser".this is also a recognized cult in the U.S.A.
I am wondering if someone will help to research and verify that  Spezzano's and his Psychology Of vision is indeed a high demand group and is harmful to first nations people because his 100 day grads that he turns into "advanced trainers" lead the public and the funders to believe that they can fix peoples minds, targeting residential school survivors for money meant fot their true healing

http://www.chuckandlencyspezzano.com/ChuckSpezzano.htm

http://www.growthvision.bz/Default.aspx?tabid=57

lency spezzano is chucks wife and the inventer of "joining"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcOoCtUJ-kI

does spezzano have any licensed academic accreditation/basis and recognition to his business in the U.S.A. ? he leads the public that he is highly successful and that he is an accredited psychologist.
 is he licensed ?
his 100 day grads are uncredited to practice psychology, yet they to promote themselves as such, again preying on vulnerable residential school survivors,

what makes this organization scary and threatening to first nations is that his "teachings" seem to be about commercializing power, dominance and control so the participants are better than others (the ones that don't get it)
capitalism and materialism seem to be his idea of success, this is a scary concept to peoples cultures when native traditions and beliefs are changed to suit what the participants ideas to get what they want

is this the same chuck spezzano with California superior court charges against him that is coming to canada and holding workshops in other countries??

http://www.kimberry.com/tipaldi/steve1.html

If there is fraud to money meant for others and theft of the money to be spent on themselves and their group, this is a criminal act and is not healing, spiritual,or enlightened behavior

Hopefully others will  research and share both good and not so good opinions and information about Chuck Spezzano and his spiritual business called  Psychology  of vision.

In Hawaii, in the past, they did business as variations of Psychology of Vision http://hbe.ehawaii.gov/documents/search.html?recordType=ALL&status=ALL&beginsWith=true&query=psychology+of+vision - all those have expired. thanx very much Piff,
Chuck Spezzano is still very active with his spiritual business,

http://www.psychologyofvision.com/events/

he uses the internet to advertise and lure in his participants with his self promoting puff talk.making people believe that he is has an accredited psychology degree, he advertises huge successful results about how wonderfull his business is at making people happy while it costs a lot of money for his continuing never ending"workshops",never ending because you always need more of his "teachings" to get happy, meaning more $$$
he also has his own tarot card readings for his followers to live their lives by and give answers to their life's problems

spezzano has never been a registrant by the college of psychologists of b.c. canada to practice psychology in b.c or canada,

If spezzano is unlicensed to practice psychology in the state of Hawaii,is he even allowed to use psychology terminology or wording in his advertisements, can he even use the word psychology? the records show that he terminated his business a long time ago, so is he deceiving the public? by misleading the public to believe that he is licensed and qualified to fix peoples minds,
i wonder what the psychologist licensing board of Hawaii would think of chuck spezzano's spiritual business if he's using terminology he isn't licensed to use??

Here's the Hawaii professional license check site http://pvl.ehawaii.gov/pvlsearch/app

He doesn't have to be licensed to use psychological terminology, but ideally he would be very clear about his professional  licensing status, education/degrees, and status of any businesses.

Their large group seminars look pricey and designed to keep people coming back for more. While spending more. They encourage people to become trainers:

Quote
Each Psychology of Vision trainer has completed 100 days of workshop training including at least 30 days accumulated during 10-day Apprenticeship trainings with Chuck and Lency Spezzano. This requires great commitment and often-unreal levels of courage to look so deeply within themselves and continue to give.

Any graduate of the 100 Day Programme who feels called to this model can apply to the Training Programme. They will be given feedback by their peers and many given feedback on their more hidden behaviours, which they are asked to look at. Having survived this they are welcomed into the group of dedicated Psychology of Vision Trainers, but this is not the end, even within the programme they are asked to continue their growth and dedicate themselves to a life of learning and giving.

http://povcanada.com/introduction-to-trainers/

This sounds very expensive and stressful.

Skeptic's Dictionary has a good essay on large group awareness training programs: http://www.skepdic.com/lgsap.html

the big problem that first nations are facing with this guy is he has already trained some first nations to be advanced trainers and he's trying to get them to train residential school survivors so they can go go back to their villages to train rss so everyone will "get along"
the money for these "workshops" will be targeted from funding meant for true accredited residential school survivors healing, because of the deep trauma the residential school survivors suffered, it is a highly specialized field, yet chuck spezanno and his first nations advanced trainers lead people to believe that they're qualified to do so.after 100 days of his workshop days, this is barely over 3 months out of of 4 years of university needed to get a degree,
first nations government money seems to be an easy target for unethical unscrupulous con artists, and there are many variations of the same theme, get the money, and the means justifies the end, get it at all costs, no matter who gets hurt,
how unfortunate for first nations when the day happens when they're are doing this to their own people

   It's much worse than sad..
spezzano's "teachings" are probably the most damaging therapy/counseling anyone can give residential school survivors. spezzano is still trying to take full advantage of vulnerable people and take the money the government allotted for their true healing and have it all for himself and his devout followers to spend  on themselves, there is ample proof that this was already done and now spezzano and his gang are doing it again.one of the spezzano slogans is-
STEP UP TO HAVE IT ALL
one of our first nations ways is to share and help each other, everyone and anyone that needs help, this is one of the common traditions that kept all cultures alive and to survive 10's of thousands of years,up to this day,
  until now,
now we have to watch and protect ourselves from hucksters and frauds,
some people appear to turned capitalist and commercialized themselves to make money even at the cost of ruining people and their culture
it is so sad when someone in any tribe has taken these corrupt style of "teachings"and applies it to their own people for profit motivated self gain, power and control are all in the same boat.
from what i am witnessing with spezzano's participants living his ideas on living a happy life, it all seem to be an extension of colonialism, based on their greedy needs for materialism, and not helping others, unless you're in spezzano's group or whatever other you need to be in to follow spezzano's way to live, spezzano definitely has proventhat his "teachings" splits families and village citizens into them and us that don't belong to his group
this is not detrimental to any first nations culture. the participants seem to lose track of their first nations identity by diluting the traditions by including and following spezzano's "teachings' in the first nations ceremonies.
scary scary, if these groups aren't identified for what they truly are..

what do we teach our children

can anyone research and post the outcome of this Cali. superior court case where spezzano is listed as giving false documents under the guise of a licensed psychologist ??
chuck and lency spezzano are alleged to have given false testimony in California Superior court against a man that ended up committing suicide

California license search http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/wllqryna$lcev2.startup?p_qte_code=LX&p_qte_pgm_code=1800

Licensee Name:   SPEZZANO CHARLES LEE
License Type:   MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST
License Number:   15654
License Status:   CANCELED
Expiration Date:   May 31, 1990
Issue Date:   August 15, 1980
Address:   46-381 HOLOPU PLACE
City:   KANEOHE
State:   HI
Zip:   96744
County:   OUT OF STATE
Actions:   No
------
British Columbia http://www.collegeofpsychologists.bc.ca/verify.php - don't see him listed there

Some Hawaii court records http://www.courts.state.hi.us/legal_references/records/jims_system_availability.html - I'll upload clips of what is in index

California has a Superior Court trial court in each of the 58 counties http://www.courts.ca.gov/find-my-court.htm In some cases a search will only work with the case number included.

Could all this be turned over to authorities - such as RCMP, licensing board, attorney? Someone who can run a full background check and collect court records.

licensing area in psychology Hawaii hopefully are looking into this, perhaps they already have a file going on this group that we don't know about,

http://hawaii.gov/dcca/pvl/boards/psychology/

http://hawaii.gov/dcca/rico/about

if a little more digging around shows fraud and manipulation to deceive the funders to dole out $$ for this group and its members he P.O.V. organization, and that indeed they're not qualified to fix peoples minds,as they lead people that they are,
then maybe the RCMP should know about this group,if it is really bad then perhaps some law enforcement agencies in the U.S.A. should be notified about this "non profit "group. they certainly charge a lot of money to the participants to attend his workshops/seminars, and they never seem to become healed, they have to keep going and paying to "get it".
being unethical and having hidden agendas isn't unlawful, depending what the hidden agendas are, they could easily become unlawful and harmful to the public,

 fyi-
spezzano's business and fees while in the U.K.
where this site is listed they say FOR FOOLS NOT YET PARTED WITH THEIR MONEY, and they ask if spezzano woulld forgive them if they didn't pay his fee
         http://www.povevents.com/private-coaching-chuck-spezzano/

on the web link listed below, spezzano is listed on the board of directors as a global authority on human development, andhis wife lency is listed on the advisory board..

 http://www.zhouenlaipeaceinstitute.org/en/contact/participants/

here is where spezzano is listed as a $1000/hr "hero of forgiveness" ,private coaching sessions..

http://www.hawaiifreepress.com/ArticlesDailyNews/tabid/65/ID/7330/July-28-2012-News-Read.aspx

here is spezzano getting a" forgiveness award"

http://www.hawaiiforgivenessproject.org/press/Star-Advertiser-July-2012-Three-Heroes.pdf

is there any information to show if any of the board of directors gave financial donations and what their status is in planning in the Zhou Enlai Peace Institute and the Hawaii Forgiveness Project
I am wondering if a board of directors member that donated  large sums of $$ cash, could it be that this person bought their way in,
and if someone was involved in planning and promoting the Hawaii Forgiveness Project and then this person was  given a "hero for forgiveness" award from their own project, what credibility does this award have,

and at the very least, could this person in question be using the Zhou Enlai Peace Institute and the Hawaii forgiveness project as a clever disguise for promoting his own spiritual business??

Looks like a Nuage mess of Jungian influenced psychobabble.

Lots of videos to watch available through youtube. Lency starts her "download" healing whatever treatment here at about 5:06. She starts sobbing at about 6:17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAayC9WI6bk#t=50

Lency builds a bliss engine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcOoCtUJ-kI

I don't see how any of this can be helpful, in fact it looks potentially damaging and crazy making. For instance how can this be helpful for First Nations people recovering from trauma? --->

Lency Spezzano, co-founder of the Psychology of Vision, teaches 5 day seminars that heal psychological injury and take participants through the self-annihilation process (or slaying of the ego) that leads to enlightenment

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1TW8e7_YGg

Why on earth would trauma survivors need a "self-annihilation process"?

This is Chuck talking about the system he says he's developed. He says he was trained early on in hypnosis. He does lay out his claimed training but without names, dates, or specifics. At 1:59 or so in video he says in the 70s he studied with "psychics and shamans" but he doesn't name any names.

He has numerous videos where he holds forth on sorts of subjects from sex, Iraq, Obama, bailouts, art in schools, unemployment, Tiger Woods etc. etc.

There seems to be a lot of differing info regarding his course(s) of study - here a three versions I found at German-language sites:

More Chuck Biography
Chuck Spezzano was born in upstate New York, where his father was finishing his college degree. He grew up in Bristol, Pennsylvania, just above Philadelphia. Seeing the pain in his family and desiring to help people in general, Chuck left for the Holy Ghost Father’s seminary in Cornwell Heights, Pa. Here he spent four years reading, studying, playing sports and making friends.

His next year was spent at Ridgefield, Connecticut at a novitiate, after which he took temporary vows and moved to Bethel Park Collegiate seminary, attending Duquesne University. After three and a half years he found that he no longer felt the calling to be a priest, and so he left the seminary, taking a second major in Psychology as well as Philosophy. He then graduated cum laude from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Arts, went on for a Master’s Degree in Sociology in an experimental program that included Philosophy and Psychology, while studying Sociology from an ecologic point of view. Duquesne University is the home of existential phenomenology in the U. S., which is where humanistic psychology began.

From there Chuck moved to San Diego and began his doctoral studies at United States International University, one of the few schools in the U. S. for humanistic psychology at the time.

Profoundly disappointed in his doctoral studies, he decided that if he was to get an education, he would need to give it to himself. As a result, he threw himself into his doctoral dissertation, which was looking for a new model of healing based on vision and creativity, rather then just repair. He felt he really gained the experience necessary to make his innovative techniques, methods and models when he began to work at the Naval Drug Rehabilitation Center as a psychologist.

While supervised by psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers, Chuck began to study short term psychotherapies. He developed different techniques and methods to discover accelerated forms of healing, which could deal with the ever growing caseload, and the diminishing time in which to help.

It was during this time that he began discovering deep healing principles in the mind that were not written about in psychological literature. This is when Chuck also attended his first program seminar call Lifespring. Having conducted hundreds of therapy groups and individual sessions at the Rehab Center, Chuck began designing seminars that included the process principle of therapeutic group works with the power of therapeutic exercises of seminars. Chuck also became part of a team at the Rehab Center teaching military personnel to become paraprofessional counselors in an effort to combat drug abuse and to help drug abusers. It was during this time that he graduated with his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology.

In fall 1979 he left his job with the Navy and began private practice as a Marriage, Family and Child Counselor, while volunteering time as a trainer with ARAS, a workshop company with spiritual dimensions. It was also during this time that he worked more fully on his research with “the triangle model,” the psycho-spiritual steps of evolution we go through as an individuals, relationships, companies or countries. In 1982 Chuck opened his office in Orange County after moving to Laguna Beach, California. In 1982 and 1983 he also taught at the Tubb Wholestic Health Institute in Southern California, before moving to Hawaii.

While working with the Navy, one of his colleagues told him about A Course in Miracles. As Chuck began to read the Course’s workbook and text, he found most of the healing principles he thought he had personally discovered written about in A Course in Miracles. He then found many more principles there that he had not discovered, that he could corroborate and use in his healing work. To this day, A Course in Miracles remains a source point of inspiration and guidance. [...]

One cannot quite say that after reading those four versions of his biography, the question where he earned which minors, majors, etc becomes much clearer.
