Hello Everyone.
First. We thank you for holding organizations like ourselves accountable to the mission of Standing Rock, the rights of our native people, and the care of our earth.
We apologize if we have offended any person and any choice we have made that have impacted others in a negative way.
We showed up to Standing Rock to be of service just like many others. We tried our hardest to come humble and in prayer. We came observant and asked for permission as often as we could.
We have been organizing Global Synchronized Prayers and Meditations since 2012 on Earth Day, Peace Day, World Water Day, World Peace and Prayer Day, Women's Day, and more. This is one of the main ways we offered our expertise, resources, time, and love to Standing Rock.
We organized 4 global synchronized prayers with over 1,600 groups around the world synchronizing with Standing Rock:
- November 26th - Two days after thanksgiving, 1100+ groups joined us for a synchronized prayer circle across from Turtle Island
www.PrayWithStandingRock.com- December 4th - Hundreds of groups tuned in to a live broadcast with Chief Arvol Looking Horse and Interfaith Leaders around the Sacred Fire.
- December 10th - The world joined for a global wapila / wapida for Standing Rock led by Chief Phil Lane.
- January 28th - Over 250 communities organized prayer actions at financial institutions across the U.S. and listened in to a live broadcast led by the youth and indigenous elders in the Red Lightening Dome in Oceti Sakowin
www.GlobalPrayerAction.comWe created over 10 videos and spread them through our network reaching over 35 Million views, raising awareness for Standing Rock.
We shared live audio broadcast messages and prayers from Standing Rock Elders with over 600,000 listens.
Through our community's support, we were also able to support partners on the ground focused on:
- The Red Lightning Dome which which was a regular meeting place and shelter for Oceti Sakowen
- Satellite Internet for the Camp
- Trucks of Firewood and support of the firewood team
- Winterization Construction
- The Compost Toilet System
- Hotel room for Elders and others in need
- 12 person camp clean up team for 4 weeks
- Food delivery from camp to local communities.
Everyone on our team showed up the best we could. From a place of prayer, service, and openness.
We hope to learn and continue to be of service to humanity, our earth, and all living beings.
We are creating a comprehensive report of our work at Standing Rock that we will release to the public in the next couple weeks.
If you are interested in receiving the report once it is finished, please email support@unify.org.
And please email us if you have any questions.
Wishing you all well.
Kind Regards,
The Unify Team
