looking for info

I got a request for information on Phil Lane Jr. I've been to his group's website at http://www.4worlds.org/index.htm and I am a little put off by some of the things they claim to have done such as "our Directions Environmental and Agricultural Solutions      Corporation was founded in March of 2000. The goals of this company are to      assist in the healing of our Mother Earth by introducing environmentaly friendly      technologies, and to benefit our First Nations people. Some of the technologies      realized include TerraZyme, an environmentally safe enzyme soil stabilizer      used in the low-cost construction of long-lasting roads and, Liquid Live Micro-Organisms      (LLMO), a safe, all purpose water pollution remediant. Other products are      the Paulownia Tree, a fast-growing, flowering hardwood and Human Growth Hormones      (HGH) to deter aging and enhance the quality of life."

He doesn't seem especially new agey.

I know Phil. Or rather knew him in college. His father was a highly respected and regarded man who worked with prisoners at Washington State Penitentiary. He was probably the first to get the prison to allow sweatlodge and pipe ceremonies. Phil jr. is not so much different then his father. Not as respected maybe, but he was a good man. He is a Ba'hai. And he is also the keeper of his families pipe, passed to him by his father. I don't know what he's been doing since he moved to Alberta. I believe he married a woman who was BLood. Phil is Hunkpapa. He is not someone I would consider new agey. However, that doesn't mean his associates are not. But  Phil himself is legit.

Four Worlds itself is something else though. Maybe 1/4 of the books they sell are by frauds, Kenneth Meadow, Lewis Melh Madrona, Lakota Swearlodge Cards, Mayan Astrology, even one from old Harley's disciple Heather McCampbell. Biomagnetics and Vibrational Essences. It's one big Altmedicine mess of a site.

And their Agenda:
The Breath of Life Ceremony-from Don Waterhawk or Yawahoo?

Looking at most of the main people behind this, most of them work to integrate Native healing with western and make reports to the Canadian govt. Kind of ironically, Faith Spotted Eagle wrote this article denouncing Nuagers.

And you can see she's done a lot of good work.

I just don't know what they were all thinking. Did their concerns get overridden by Nuagers taking over the group? Did they decided to just take Nuagers's cash anyway they could and try to do some good with it?

A search reveals about a dozen scattered posts where he's mentioned, in addition to this thread:
